My partner and I are relocating for work in January. What surprised you most about Calgary? Any neighbourhood advice for two people in their early 30s with no car yet?

The dryness. Get a humidifier for winter, your skin will thank you.

Look along the C-Train lines if you have no car. Sunnyside, Bridgeland, Marda Loop are all nice.

Chinooks will mess with your head the first winter. Totally normal.

Property taxes and insurance are the gotchas people forget to budget for.

Welcome! The pathway system is amazing for getting around by bike in summer.

Seconding Bridgeland. Walkable, good food, easy train access.
