Is Kananaskis worth it over Banff for a day trip?

Have one free day and cannot decide between Kananaskis and Banff. I want good hiking without the huge crowds. Which would you pick?

Kananaskis, no contest, if you want fewer crowds. The hikes are just as good.

Banff is iconic but packed. K-Country feels wilder and it is closer.

You need a Kananaskis pass for your car now. Buy it online before you go.

Do Banff once for the postcard, then spend every other trip in Kananaskis.
