Heard someone claim Calgary is the sunniest major city in Canada. That cannot be right with our winters, can it?

It is true for sunshine hours. We get over 2300 a year. Cold and sunny is the default.

Sunniest major city is the claim and it holds up. The cold just makes it feel less sunny.
